Goalkeeper Johns leaves Showgrounds

Chris Johns, popular goalkeeper with Bannsiders fans has made the move from the Showgrounds to Windsor Park.

The 25 year old joins the Blues on a 2 year contract.

Speaking to Linfield’s website, Linfield manager David Healy said, “I’m delighted to advise our supporters that Chris Johns will today join us on a 2 year deal, having signed a pre contract a few months ago.

He’s a very experienced and talented keeper who knows this league very well, having had a very successful 4 year stint at Coleraine.”

Meanwhile, the Coleraine manager Oran Kearney in an interview to colerainefc.com stated,

“We didn’t want to lose Chris and we wanted him to stay,”

“In lifestyle terms with Chris living close to Windsor Park and just finishing his studies, as well as wanting to train full-time, it made a hard sell for us.”
